Chalet vacation rentals in Kennet and Avon Canal

A beautiful lodge in a peaceful location. Clean, tidy and cosy with everything we needed for a 3 night stay. The owner was very responsive and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend this lodge to others.

Caroline was very responsive and informative prior to my arrival, even providing directions to suit me. The hosts both met me at the gate and were both friendly and welcoming. Caroline showed me around The Studio which is a lovely property in a very peaceful and lovely surrounding. The property has everything that I needed and has been well looked after and clean. It was a great stay and I enjoyed my get away. Would definitely return

So nice to unwind, listen to the birds and decompress. Exactly what was needed with our hectic lives and schedules. Loved the quiet location and that our dogs could walk around the golf course and woods. Only recommendation we would make is a little freshen up and updating in some areas, like sealant around the bath (which was great by the way after a long day!) Having milk when we arrived was well appreciated, if there was a complimentary starter pack of some small jams/butter and scones - I'd give you 5* here! But a great stay nonetheless. Really comfortable.

My partner and I found our stay wonderful ! There were beautiful views all around and we were given a book with lots of things to do during the day and the evening. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and made us feel right at home. They prepared the hot tub for our arrival and made sure we settled in nicely. The lodge was absolutely spotless and had an absolutely amazing scent !!! Very cosy ! I would highly recommend staying at this Airbnb !!

We really enjoyed our stay at Nigel’s place and our only regret is we didn’t book for longer! We stayed with our three young children and the lodge was perfect and very functional, with everything we needed for our stay. I would say it is better than on the photos and extremely clean and tidy. We didn’t need to speak to Nigel about anything as he provided very clear instructions around check in and the file in lodge was helpful, however he did reach out and gave some tips about key things to do! The hot tub is lovely and again, we found the instructions provided accurate. It took three hours to heat up but really retained its heat so the following two times, we only needed the fire on for a short while. Surrounding area is beautiful and we did lots of cycling. The Indian takeaway down the road (recommended in guest book) is really good! Thank you and hope to be back soon!

We loved it so much the first time we visited back in 2020, that we came back. And just like then, it was fantastic. The cottage is absolutely lovely, the whole farm is amazing, and it is just so nice to walk around, see the cows, absorb the nature. Topping it all: Ailse and "Farmer Phillip", as our kids kept calling him. they just make you feel so welcomed, like you're part of the family. Our boys had a great time, and have to say their favourite part was undoubtedly playing with Effie. Thank you again for welcoming us to your place, and being so loving and accommodating.

The accommodation is warm, inviting, & spotlessly clean, with everything you need. Rebecca is helpful & friendly, offering great tips on local walks, hidden gems, & places to eat. Nearby, pretty villages dot the landscape, each with their own charm. There are cosy pubs in Slad, Edge & Sheepscombe. Independent restaurants & cafés in Stroud, which has the famous Sat farmer's market. Painswick also has a farmer's market on a Thurs a m & hot takeaway in the p m at The Painswick Centre, which has a cafe & shop selling local arts and crafts. In addition there is The Falcon, Le Papillon, The Oak, St Michael's and The Painswick.

We had a lovely stay in the holiday park. The accommodation was very spacious for us and clean and tidy. The hot tub was a firm favourite and we loved it was ready to use from arrival. The holiday park had a great pool with a waterslide that my 5 year old loved as well as indoor and outdoor play areas, he was kept busy throughout. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but the food we saw others have looked good and the bar area was nice and relaxed. We would recommend to families and would be keen to return ourselves.

Such an amazing place to stay, lots of space, clean and Gil was an amazing host. Lovely outdoor space and perfect and convenient location. Wish I could have stayed longer!
