Vacation rentals in Jebel Akhdar

This is a large property in Saiq, Jebel Al Akhdar providing private accommodation in this very special village in the mountains. We were very well looked-after by Muntaser who showed us around the stunning landscape and local villages including Al Aqor, Wadi Bani Habib and Al Suwgra (now an exclusive boutique hotel clinging to the mountainside where your baggage has to be transported via zipwire across the valley). He kindly drove our car from place to place so that we could do as little or as much exploring on foot as we wished. His experience of driving on the insanely steep off-road tracks was invaluable - despite the Nissan Patrol being a very capable 4x4, I would have been too nervous to do this myself! The most special treat was being invited for قهوة (coffee) which was a great honour appreciated by the whole family. Thank you Saif!

I had a fantastic stay at this cozy studio! The space was exactly as described—clean, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. The interiors were absolutely beautiful and tastefully done, with a modern yet cozy vibe that made it feel like a home away from home. It had everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit, including a well-equipped kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and a super comfy bed. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making check-in and communication smooth from start to finish. The location was perfect too—close to great restaurants and cafes. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Mohammed's house is neat and located perfectly just before the Balcony walk, the only reason I chose to stay there. The location is perfect and peaceful. Since we are vegetarian, we carried our own food, but there is an Omani family nextdoor who were offering home cooked meals. I plan to revisit next month with a friend visiting Muscat.

I would like to say that the place is really nice, near to the old city, with beautiful garden. Then he offered to us dates and accommodation. Do not hesitate to be his guest . Thanks a lot .

Hut was an experience itself! Grate point to see all attractions around and enjoy privacy in the evenings and mornings. Highly recommended.

I feel so blessed to have had this wonderful experience at this vacation home. The scenery was breathtaking, and you’ll even notice something about the air is different out here. It’s in a great location, but a 4x4 vehicle is a must—we learned the hard way when our SUV wasn’t approved to come up . It’s difficult to find taxis the walks weren’t bad at all, about 15 mins to restaurants and shops. This stay was the perfect escape from the busyness of Muscat. The home was immaculate, with beautiful outdoor seating areas to enjoy nature. I even spotted a shooting star!! The sky is so beautiful at night. Overall, it was an incredible experience and I’d return in a heartbeat!

Amazing stay in this tastefully renovated barn. The pool with a view of the palm grove is worth a visit. If you're in the area, feel free to spend a few days there. Mohamed is a responsive and friendly host with plenty of suggestions to make your stay even more enjoyable. Thanks to him.
