Vacation rentals with a kayak in Howe Sound

We have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years. Gwen and Chris were by far the most helpful of any hosts we have had. Gwen gave us lots of ideas for activities and actually delivered fresh seafood for us several times. Chris transported their kayaks to a local lake for us (and came back to retrieve them later). They both went above above and beyond. We hope to return to this beautiful area, and we would definitely stay in this this home again.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! We had the best time staying at Barb’s place. The house was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and had everything you could possibly need. The space is extremely private to the point that you almost feel you are on your own private island. The lake is crystal clear and the surroundings are picturesque! We all felt completely at home during our stay and will most definitely be back again!!

Heather's place was really beautiful and exactly as pictured. The view is really wonderful and the house is quiet and relaxing. The beds were comfortable and the accommodations spacious. We made several meals and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the hot tub. The location was close to the water, a local cidery, and local hikes/walks.

This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed! It was perfect for getting a group together (super spacious!) and the hot tub, sauna, fire pit, two decks, gorgeous bathrooms and stunning views made it truly unforgettable. Honestly, the pictures didn't do it justice, it felt bigger and more beautiful inside. Would recommend completely and would love to go back some day!

Having traveled a lot, this is easily the best Airbnb I've ever stayed at! The flat is very comfortable with all the amenities you need. But like all the reviews mention the view is literally to die for. The almost 360 panoramic view of the ocean and surrounding mountains and islands really feels like you are on a boat! I'm usually one who likes to be out and about while on vacation but at Vahid and Parisa's place I just wanted to stay in and enjoy the view. Sitting by the windows taking in the view while sipping tea is one of the most peaceful moments I've ever had. We can't wait to visit again! Instead of using the address on Go-ogle, put in Sunset Marina and then drive to the end of the path, house is at the end where the road meets the ocean. The directions and pictures provided are super useful. About 30 min to main attractions. Don't hesitate to book this place!

We had a wonderful stay at John’s house this week and he was an excellent host. The home is right on the water, plenty of kayaks and paddle boards and a nice hot tub. It’s a very clean, modern house with all the amenities you could need. John was very proactive in his communication during our stay and provided clear instructions on how to get into the house. He was also very helpful to recommend some local hikes and activities. We will definitely stay here again when back in the area. Thanks John!

We had a very nice stay at Tanner's place. The open concept home was really nice to share as a space amongst friends and we loved the close access to the beach.

I recently had the pleasure of staying in a beautiful house that truly exceeded my expectations. The view of the water was absolutely stunning, providing a serene backdrop that made every moment feel special. Its proximity to the ferry was a major plus, making it incredibly convenient to explore nearby areas. Within just a few minutes' drive, I found some fantastic local restaurants that offered a variety of delicious dining options. It was great to have such easy access to both casual and upscale eateries. The house itself was immaculate and impeccably maintained, showcasing modern updates that made it feel both stylish and comfortable. I was particularly impressed with the spacious rooms; they provided plenty of room to relax and unwind. The skylights added a wonderful touch, flooding the space with natural light and creating a bright, airy atmosphere. Additionally, the kitchen was well-equipped with a full range of spices and cooking amenities, which made preparing meals a joy.

We absolutely loved our stay at Michelle’s place! The surroundings were stunning, with a beautiful water view and a lovely garden that made the experience even more special. Michelle was an incredible host, very kind, responsive, and thoughtful. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, even staying up late just to welcome us and ensure we had everything we needed. When we requested extra bakeware, she provided it right away. The home felt cozy and inviting, truly a home away from home. We highly recommend staying here!

We had a great long weekend at Gloria’s cottage. The marina was beautiful to look over and the general store was convenient for basics. The staff were friendly and very helpful for recommendations around the island.

The cabin of your childhood dreams…sit back, relax, enjoy the lake and connect with family/friends. North Lake has fabulous swimming and almost no bugs. The cabin has a lovely view and lots of different areas to sleep. Lynne was a great host, very attentive and communicative. We had a lovely time, thanks Lynne.

Choosing Christine’s house really “made” our vacation! Not only was it in a short driving distance to all the ski areas we wanted to visit, but the combination of the beautiful, serene location and the spacious and well-appointed accommodations were just what we hoped for. Christine‘s thoughtful help and advice throughout the entire trip made it. a vacation will never forget we hope to come visit again in the Summertime .

We really enjoyed our stay at Pages, the location was beautiful. We enjoyed renting kayaks and exploring the bay. The nearby park also had some great hiking trails and beach. The cabin had everything you needed and the wood burning stove was nice to have on the chilly nights. It is about 15 minutes to the amenities in town and the ferry so not the closest if that’s important to you but we thought their little store had most necessities and didn’t mind.

Mina was incredibly kind and thoughtful. Her rental has amazing views and is very walkable. Thank you for the stay!

This is an epic place to stay. A beautiful home close to Vancouver but with incredible views out towards the islands. The private cliff railway to transport people and luggage down to the front door is great fun!

Gloria’s cottage #1 is lovely, cozy, clean, warm, with a gorgeous porch overlooking the marina. The morning sunshine was beautiful for coffee, the area was quiet, and the scenery and sea air quite lovely. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable, and the wood stove and dry wood was fantastic for a chilly day. Only details - the gorgeous sun streams in at 6 or 7 am, which is good to know for morning sleepers like me, and the hide-a-bed mattress was a bit thin for the second guest. Overall, just lovely and we hope to book again. .

Beautiful spot in paradise. The cabin was fully stocked with beautiful linen, bathroom amenities and a fully stocked kitchen (2 fridges). The communication from the owners was amazing. The only problem was the road up, they do have a gator but you need experience to use it but otherwise highly recommended.

Definitely a great place for getting away from work

We loved our stay and wished we had planned a longer trip. It was so peaceful and beautiful. We can’t wait to come back.

I had an amazing stay. If you’re looking for a genuine and cute glamping experience then this place is perfect. The property is lovely, the sites are private and the amenities make you feel like you’re camping in comfort. I loved the camping style with the foot pump water and propane stove, so make sure you’re up for it. I slept the nights with the frame open and had no issues with bugs, and got the chance to have a lovely campfire and hang with the local brown Hares. It was a great place to step away for a while:)

Gayle and Lee were amazing hosts!! We were greeted by the hosts at check-in and they had already set-up for us the woodstove fire place. The room was immaculate, with a comfortable bed and spotless floors. What really stood out to us was all of the personal touches from the freshly baked sourdough bread with butter and jam to a folder full of recommendations to build your own personalized itinerary. Unfortunately on the night of check-in my partner got the stomach flu. We informed the hosts and they leaped into action to help us in every way possible. They provided us with medication and disinfection to prevent myself from getting sick as well. They also graciously offered us an extra complimentary night for my partner to rest. We can't wait to come back!!

We had such a great time at Carraholly Retreat! The boat ride over was super easy, and the place itself was so cute and cozy. We loved the clean hot tub and spent a lot of time relaxing in the sauna - it was such a treat. Perfect spot for a quick getaway from the city. We’ll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape!

Sarah's cabin was beyond what we had hoped for. A perfect space for our family of six. The cabin is full of rustic charm while being cozy and comfy. It was outfitted with everything we needed plus more. The multiple outdoor spaces allowed us to enjoy the awesome setting from every angle. We spent much time on the water with our boat, Standup Paddle boards and the kayaks available. Being off the grid took some adjustment but was a healthy thing. We got into board games, shared cooking and exploring the neighbourhood. We'd love to return.
