It’s a good place with a very beautiful balcony same as described by the host, Rashmika was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

We’ve just come back from an amazing trip to Sri Lanka, and we stayed for 6 nights at Gaya’s wonderful home. We loved it; the location feels remote, but it’s only a 10min walk to the beach/restaurants etc. Every morning I’d wake up and have a coffee on the veranda, overlooking lush greenery, peacocks, cattle - not something you get in everyday life. The staff were very helpful, and the accommodation was comfortable, clean, and is a wonderful option if you’re looking for a self-catering home stay. A big thank you to Gaya for letting us stay, we hope to be back soon!

This is such a great stay! Awesome surf break right in front of the house and super comfortable house, pool and nearby cafes and yoga for non surfers. The house is beautiful and Madhu and the team will cook you anything you want (just pay the ingredients) so it’s super affordable to eat. You can watch him cook and learn Sri Lankan curries. Really sad to leave and we’ll definitely be back!

We made a last-minute booking, but everything was very well organized. Podi communicated excellently and provided a clear and detailed description of the place upon our arrival. We especially loved the kitchen and its well-equipped setup, and we truly enjoyed the space as if it were our own home. Highly recommended for long stays and groups!

We had a really pleasant stay at Villa Candlelight. The property is beautifully maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and charm. One of the highlights of our stay was the indoor pool—it truly added an extra touch of luxury and made our experience even more enjoyable. The villa is also conveniently located, with easy access to the market area, making it simple to explore the surroundings. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

Don is an exceptional host, responsive and available at any time, the house is a jewel, large, clean and equipped, private patio with a very pleasant mini pool in the hottest hours, very quiet location out of the chaos but a 5 10-minute walk from the two nearby beaches (the least crowded in the area, including jungle beach surf spots). With a scooter (which I highly recommend) you can reach all the midigama and ahanghama spots in a few minutes and in 10 minutes you can reach weligama. The other pool is shared with other BnBs and you have to go through the private garden of the house next door, but it is a great place to relax and the few times we used it there was no one. Absolutely recommended

Words cannot describe how perfect our stay was. Sharmini was a fantastic host, even before we got there. She was quick to answer my many questions about the villa, the local area and sharing details of companies that could collect our large party of 12 from the airport. Even calling them on my behalf when they didn't respond to my messages. The photos of the villa don't do it justice. The rooms are all a fantastic size, beds and pillows comfy and the bathrooms are wonderful. The location on the beach was just perfect. We were 3 families with 6 children between 2 and 8 and we all spent our time running from beach to pool l. Idilic. But the standout feature of the villa is the fabulous and dedicated staff. Dilu, Milan and Bandu. Dilu could not do enough for us and was on hand, yet discreet. Milan! Well his cooking is easily the best I've had in Sri Lanka. He cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner for all of us every night catering for us all! Our villa stay was perfect in every way!

Fantastic Villa, the pictures don’t do justice to the place - it’s better than what can be seen here. The area outside is peaceful and surrounded by lush greenery and the property grounds are perfectly landscaped with a beautiful swimming pool and outdoor seating area. The living room and kitchen are fantastic and all essentials are well stocked up. The bedrooms and bathrooms are also up to 5 star quality with clean soft linen. No problems on water and no problems on electricity. The staff doesn’t fully understand English but enough to get through and very helpful. Only draw back is that it is 15-20 mins away from Unawatanu / Galle so you need your own transportation.
