The Boat Shed

The Boat Shed nestles under a large ancient Monterey Pine at the bottom of our garden in the beautiful village of Findhorn. Less than two minutes from Findhorn Bay and a ten minute walk to the beach on the Moray Firth. Guests have their own access and sole use of the Boat Shed. Just a short walk to local pubs, restaurants, cafes, shop and Marina. Perfect for a short break or holiday. Chanonry Point, the best place for dolphin watching in Britain, is only a 20 min walk. Close to the popular NC500 route, it is ideal for a romantic break for two. The wood burning stove will keep you cosy on colder nights. There is so much to explore in the area, two nights may not be enough!

Entire place. Black Nissen at HMS Owl NC500 route

The Nissen hut at HMS Owl was originally built in 1940 by the RAF. The Owl is our family home and took us 5 years to restore it. It has been featured on TV and in numerous design publications. HMS Owl is pretty special as is the restored Nissen available to rent. The Hut is cosy, warm and private with large living space and kitchen and large ensuite bedroom. Brilliant log burners in livingspace and bedrooms Outdoor wood fired Hot tub available (extra charge)

Harbourside Rest - Right on the harbour’s edge.

Double ensuite in a great location. Self contained with mini kitchen, dining area, wifi and smart TV. A stunning beach, woodland walks and cycle path. A restaurant (open Thurs-Sun, 10am til evening), Chinese Takeaway and licensed store all a 5-10 min walk from the harbour. Other eateries nearby. Famous for its Pictish fort and Moray dolphins. Burghead is ideal for dog walking too, dogs welcome!
