A great place and location - we were 4 adults without a car and conveniently located a short walk to the railway station and right next to a bus stop for buses into St Andrews and Dundee. Convenience store just down the road. Very comfortable and exceptionally clean. Wilma great host who was helpful and responsive. Top place!

A lovely homely cottage in a fantastic location to visit St Andrews. The hosts were very friendly and offered us an early check in, which was great. A well equipped kitchen, easy to light fire and fully enclosed garden were our highlights. I would definitely recommend this place.

Cottage in Rait

Gean Tree Cottage, Fingask Castle, Rait, Perth

JenniferRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I thoroghly enjoyed our stay at Gean tree cottage and my dog Jack absolutely loved it! The cottage is as described, perfectly clean, comfortable, toasty warm and the kitchen is well stocked with equipment etc. It's also quite private too so no noise at all. The garden area is huge and well kept so lots of space for dog zoomies. The castle estate has lots of area to explore with swimming pool, games room, gardens, walled kitchen garden, lake, boat house, orchard, so much more! The welcome pack contains lots of information and a map of the estate to help you find your way around. There's EV chargers on the estate now too with a 22kw charger just a 2 minute walk from Gean Tree cottage which is very useful for overnight charging. The staff are very helpful and friendly with information before arrival (and helping my wayward pooch find his way back when he wandered too far 🤦‍♀️). Highly recommended and would love to visit again. Thank you! Jen & Jack

Redwood Cottage, Fingask Castle, Rait, Perthshire

HannahRating, 5 stars5 months ago
A great place to chill and unwind for a few days ..unspoilt and natural surroundings lots of birds and even deer :-) The house was cosy and warm and had old style charm. We found the mattresses uncomfortable but everyone else in our group slept well so I guess it's just preference. Our hosts were quick to respond when we mentioned it, providing extra duvets for us. Games room is no frills great fun with table tennis and snooker. All in all a great stay, would be back.

Iconic Beach-Front Fisherman’s Cottage

TinaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a wonderful stay at Fay’s. The cottage is very well equipped, comfortable, spacious but homely & in a great location with wonderful views. Parking was no problem at all. Enjoyed the local farm shops. It was so convenient for St. Andrews, which was important to us, as we were visiting for the women’s Open. We’d love to stay again, next time we’re in the area & would thoroughly recommend this cottage.

Beech Tree Cottage, Fingask Castle, Rait

MaryRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This review is based on our time at Sir Stuart House, where we stayed instead of Beech Tree Cottage. It was an excellent experience; they were very good about communication: responsive and accommodating. The location is beautiful. We had plans in the area and I had to leave before other members of our party, but I'd highly recommend allowing time to really enjoy the grounds. It's peaceful, quiet, was perfect for us.

We had a lovely week here and we must’ve remarked on the beautiful views from the apartment every day! It’s a great base for seeing the villages on the Fife coast and there are direct trains to and from Edinburgh all day. Kinghorn Station is just a five minute walk away. Dan and Alex have everything you need in their apartment and we felt very much at home here. Thanks

Modern Cottage, superb views, near St Andrews

JohnRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay in this cottage with beautiful views. We even saw the Northern Lights while we were here! The cottage was just what we needed for a stay for our son's wedding and was even better than the photos! The kitchen was very well equipped and there were very generous provisions of food and wine which we really appreciated. With 6 of us staying, it was handy to have a bathroom and second toilet with basin. It was also great to have enough space for us all to spend time, with the conservatory as well as the living area. We hope to return again in the future.

‘ Burgher Chapel- Converted Church’

JaneRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Wow what a beautiful property! Such a treat to stay here with all the interesting items Jeanette has furnished it with and wanted for nothing during our stay, quite easily the most well equipped accommodation we have ever stayed in! I don’t sleep well but I did here, the bed and bedding were like nothing I’ve slept in before and the blackout curtains and complete peace and quiet meant I overlaid. Will definately be back if in the area 5*

The Coach House Stables

BrianRating, 5 stars4 days ago
A comfortable, stylish, characterful, restful wee home (with everything a couple would need). Located on a peaceful, quiet street just off the main road, with short walks to all the local facilities and the bus stops for the half-hourly Edinburgh to North Berwick buses (very handy for visiting a large number of places should you not want to drive). This area is chock-full of golf courses, beaches, wildlife, historic houses, gardens, galleries, museums, crafts people and great places to eat and shop - you won't be short of things to do! Fiona is a great host. If you need help she is there to assist. If you want info about places to eat out, or places to visit, she is happy to provide some local knowledge. But if you want to be left to your own devices, she is just as happy to leave you be. On the days of check in/out, she makes a point of contacting visitors to advise of the earliest they can arrive or depart (often giving an hour or more than her listing advises). Why not book?

Stylish flat in coastal village near Edinburgh

LindaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here at Julia’s place. The flat is super cozy and comfortable and has everything we needed for a nice stay. The bed is quite soft, which I loved more than my husband did, but we both slept great. The flat is close to the road, but there was not loud traffic at night. Kitchen is well equipped and smallish, but very cute and works! We really appreciated having the chance to use the washer and dryer, as we’re on a three week trip and were running short on some clean things. The downstairs neighbors are kind and helpful. The beach, a castle with gardens, and pubs are restaurants are within walking distance. Julia is very attentive. Highly recommended this place!
