Vacation rentals with a sauna in Dumfries and Galloway

Very Positive stay. The positive aspects were, beautiful location and the patio and ground floor was a bonus. We enjoyed beautiful weather so breakfast on the terrace both mornings. The bed and bedding and soft furnishings felt very luxurious. Property very well appointed with thoughtful extras such as milk tea coffee sugar salt and pepper and washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. perfect for couples. A real retreat. Hosts very responsive. Beautifully decorated Use of the swimming pool and spa was an additional bonus Negative points we felt were, no slip mat in the bat and bath very slippery. Shower instructions unclear and risk of scalding hot water Mugs and cups , cafetiere & glasses needed wash before use. Did not appear fully clean No tray to take things outside. No brush to clear up although dustpan there. Locked out of main doors on Tuesday at 8pm. Needed to use emergency number Staff in restaurant lacked customer service however we will address this issue directly with them

Great weekend with my best friend and our babies having some fresh air in the Lakes. Stef place had everything we needed to enjoy a great stay. Clean spacious kitchen and living room/family bathroom and en suit/downstairs toilet were helpful. All the cooking equipment/utensils we needed were available as well as cleaning materials and toiletries. We made use of the pool, towels were provided at reception and bar/restaurant, the minted lamb was absolutely stunning. Fantastic views and fantastic price for a weekend away. Clear instructions made arrival with two babies & luggage stressfree. Stef gave good instructions for checkin and gave some good recommendations, we would love to come here again. Only thing I feel that was a negative was the cleaning fee being so high when we had to remove linens &towels/rubbish ourselves and wash up. I understand that these things are part and parcel of Air B&B stays but did feel it was slightly high. Not a negative towards Stef or our stay though!

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. The Mill is absolutely stunning - the photos don’t do it justice at all. It is beautifully put together with a well equipped kitchen, smart decor and so many interesting bits and pieces to give interest. There was such care and consideration given to making sure all needs were catered for from the toys and books to the extensive CD and DVD collection. The grounds are breathtaking and it would be easy to go nowhere else. We were very well looked after and enjoyed the sauna, hot tub and a campfire. This is the perfect place for a family to find peace and reset. Walking up to the birds and the sounds of the waterfall was like a detox. We petted donkeys, saw bee hives, looked for fish and paddled in the water. Our children are already planning a further stay. Exceptional value for money and just beautiful. Thank you Lorraine and the wonderful Arjun for looking after us so well.

My partner and I visited for a night and the only thing I would change is that I wish we’d stayed longer. Emma was lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. You can tell how much time has been put in to making this place as special as it is. It was so peaceful getting into the hot tub and sauna in the evening. We stayed in the yurt which was so spacious and quirky, the bed was really comfortable as well. The place had everything we needed and more. It was such a unique experience being surrounded by peacocks, sheep, chicken and dogs. I think my partner is missing Carlos the sheep already (considering he took about 100 pictures of him), so we will definitely be back!

an incredible few nights away at The Tranquil Otter for my partners birthday. From booking to checking out, we were left fully satisfied. clean, accessible and in a lovely location with access to a private row boat to explore the lake. We will definitely be recommending this place to all our friends and family. thank you for the perfect stay!

We had a lovely stay with Emily. The cottage was well equipped and clean. The location was very tranquil and was the perfect place to relax after long days walking the lakes.

Ian’s place was stunning in every aspect from the cleanliness right down to the location. This Air BnB is a real gem and perfect for exploring The Lake District. Ian is a good host who answered all of our questions. We loved it so much we booked an extra night. Would highly recommend a stay in this Air BnB, we will definitely return.

Lovely time with family at this great cottage. We had never been to this part of Scotland before and Penpont was a very convenient base to explore from. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay for four adults - we loved the log fire and the hot tub! The kitchen is well equipped for self catering and the beds are comfortable. An excellent place to stay for small groups.

A lovely peaceful location, a great place to relax with the family for a couple of days. The only sound in the large garden was the sound of bird song. The sauna and steam room were lovely to unwind in. Moffat is a delightful town with nice places to eat and a really friendly atmosphere. Just a 5-minute walk from the property. Also, just a 15 minutes drive to the Grey Mare's Tail waterfall and walk.
