Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Agios Nikolaos

Theodora’s apartment is hidden gem in Agios Nikolaos. During our stay we realized, there is no better location for families with small kids. It’s right next to beach bar with great beach, in our opinion best within the city and there is even kids playground right next to it. You have 6-7 great local restaurants within 5mins walk + 2 grocery shops. Location is very quiet. Apartment is very well equipped with all you need for shorter or even longer stay (we stayed 1month). Theodora was very friendly, responsive and helpful with anything we needed. We can only recommend her and her apartment to anyone who wants to enjoy perfect vacation. Efcharisto Theodora 👍🏻

Pasiphae House was something out of a dream! It was beautifully designed in the traditional Crete Village homes style. The location is isolate in the mountains, but amongst a great community of people. We were greeted by Yianna and Koula that gave us the walk through of the house, and we're always in constant communication. Ioanna supplied us with a long list of things to do and try in the area which we took full advantage of. Overall it was a beautiful stay and would highly recommend.

After 12 days of stay, we can recommend this atmospheric, Greek, with all the amenities of a home. Two terraces allowed you to enjoy the view of the sea every day. The nearby beach requires a short effort to walk (a rocky descent from the mountain), but it guarantees peace and crystal water. In the nearby towns (5-10 minutes drive) you can find many well-stocked shops and, more importantly, great taverns with excellent food. In a word, we recommend "Katarina" with home. The owner took care of every detail - a nice welcome surprise and very quick contact. In addition, thank you again for letting us check in faster because we arrived at night. Katrina,s home, is the equivalent of traditional Greek hospitality. 🙂👍

We spent more than 2 weeks in Aspasia's house and we felt very comfortable. The beds were comfortable, the apartment was clean and we found everything we needed. Aspasia even organized a yoga mat for me. Communication with Aspasia went smoothly. The bathroom is not the latest, but you don't notice much of it because there is an outdoor shower. A cat visited us every day, we hope she continues to find food sources We also enjoyed the surroundings very much, often we were right on the beach down in Keratokampos, also partly on foot. But the beaches around are all very nice, mostly pebbles on the shore and sand towards the sea. You could snorkel in quiet weather, in the wind we have the waves. There are also two shops: minimarket, supermarket. In the supermarket, the postcards are brought to the post office on Wednesdays at noon. The restaurants are also very good, we were mostly in the taverna Christina.

Such a beautiful place, we felt we were in paradise. We took our own food so didn’t try the taverna but enjoyed dinner with a beautiful view every night and two nights we lay back a star gazed for hours on the deck chairs. A gem and a beautiful retreat in southern Crete. The villa has everything your heart desires, a beautiful view, pool and a modern kitchen that makes every heart of a hobby cook beat faster. I will miss the morning and evening bath in the pool with the view. Since it has almost no light pollution, you can see a starry sky and the Milky Way with the naked eye. Secluded beaches are easily accessible by car within 30 minutes, so a car is highly recommended. Doesn't have to be an SUV. Sam is available at any time and communicates very quickly. Furthermore, he or Lefteris are always available with tips and advice. Sam and Anel are more than super hosts and I can recommend their villa villa 200%.

We had a lovely stay at Mapia's home, everything was what we were expecting with the added bonus of meeting Mapia's parents and other members of extended family. They were all available if we had any problems (we didn't) but not intruding at all. George another family member, introduced himself and we could go to him if we had any questions. Had an absolutely beautiful stay at this apartment. The location is absolutely perfect for a relaxing get away. The property is really well equipped and has everything you could need. Maria was super friendly, responsive and communicated really well throughout our visit. We visited just before the main season and Mochlos was quiet and sleepy, just waking up. You'll need a car if you want to explore the island from here. Cannot recommend this property enough - we just had the most lovely time.

It was perfect! A beautiful place that offers exactly what it promises. Near the city of Ierapetra for anything needed but at the same time quiet enough to offer the tranquility one needs to rest.

Amazing views, very large, comfortable , modern house. Plenty of amenities provided. It was really wonderful to sit out at the pool area. Mornings were very hot with direct sun and no shade possible on the deck. Location is super, 5 minutes to Elounda or 10 to Plaka. The descriptions and photos don't exactly show that there are two villas on top of each other, practically connected, so if there is not complete privacy if they are both occupied. The pool area of the upper villa looks down onto the pool area of the lower villa (ours). There are other houses in the neighborhood that were rented by large parties/weddings that were close enough to hear their loud music until late at night, all four nights we were there, which somewhat ruined what would otherwise would have been peaceful enjoyment sitting outside in the evenings. This is not the property owner's fault, but guests should be aware of this possibility, probably anywhere in this area where so many villas are rental properties.

We had a wonderful time. The villa felt private even though there are two other villas next door. My friends and I loved the pool and how spacious the whole place was. We had stunning views of the nearby sea and town. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom. The only negative was the water pressure in the upstairs showers. Nota was very accommodating. She offered to clean the apartment during our stay and helped us arrange our hire cars. (From my group's experience, a car is highly recommended as taxis and public transport weren't great). The village, beaches and restaurants in the area were also great. Overall, my friends and I were very happy with our stay and would definitely come back.

If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place to be. Vacation away from tourism in the Cretan mountains. We especially enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and the pool. In September, however, it is already much cooler on the mountain than on the coast. Since a car is absolutely necessary anyway, we were able to switch to the beaches on windy or cloudy days. Konstantinos gave us great tips on request and we were offered free cleaning 2x. Clear recommendation!

Perfect accomodation for our 2 families. Nice garden and terraces. Beautiful views. Quite a challenging and steep access road but we got used to that

Casa Riza was a five star home away from home. The house itself is beautifully situated in the mountains, with the most glorious views through huge (clean) glass picture windows ensuring you make the most of the crystal blue seas and cloudless skies every day. We found it to be the most stylish home with immaculately maintained amenities, flowers on the coffee table (changed halfway through our stay!) - and it was all exceptionally clean and welcoming. Decoratively it was mix of old and new, making it homely and perfectly functional for a family of four. The pool was cold - but that didn’t stop the kids using it several times a day. Our hosts were amazing - we had tonnes of helpful, local recommendations and a food shop done for us with everything we needed, plus treats like Easter eggs for the kids and local jams and honeys - all laid out when we arrived. If you’re planning a trip to Crete I highly recommend staying here, a visit to Milonas gorge and Tersa beach also 5 star! ♥️

The host was incredibly kind. The house was extremely well-equipped, the outdoor space was enjoyable, and the house had a stunning view. We are deeply grateful for the host's warm hospitality. They generously gifted us with traditional Easter sweets, a delightful olive oil, and exquisite local honey. An unforgettable experience!

Beautiful house with all the facilities, better than the photos. The bedroom on the 1st floor is very large and comfortable with a separate bathroom and a large terrace to enjoy the view and tranquility. Pleasant and relaxing stay, Mrs. Maria had left supplies for breakfast, fruits and wine very kind and welcome. Everything was great.

We had nice quiet days in Kelari Cottage :-) The place has everything we needed and the bed was sooo comfortable! The hike to Pefki through the gorge is worth it, after which you should definitely eat in Pefki at Maria's - delicious! The area is pretty, in March still very deserted and sleepy. We would come back!

The Rustic Nook was the perfect place for us on our last 4 days on Crete. It was close to Agios Nikolaos where we spent several of those days exploring and enjoying the food. We went on a few of the many hiking trails in the area. Limnes itself was charming. A local taverna, Christinis, was a highlight with the friendly staff and great food. Amanda’s place was so comfortable, spacious, tastefully decorated, and well equipped. Amanda was always quick to respond. We could not have asked for a better place.

Basil House is a beautiful, hidden gem in Kastri and we really enjoyed our stay here! The house is incredibly spacious, AC in every room and the VIEWS are wonderful. Also there are a lot of cute cats on the property. You can reach the village and the beach within 15-20 minutes and there you'll find everything you need. Haris was a very good host who gave us great recommendations. We highly recommend staying at Basil House! :)

We loved this place! We had such an amazing time. The location is great to visit beaches located in the north and south part. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Crete looking for a comfortable stay.
