Great place, wonderfull chalet, wanted to stay longer

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage! The jacuzzi and sauna were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The cottage was clean, well-equipped, and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. The peaceful surroundings made it a great escape from the city. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

Andre is an excellent host who was very responsive and helpful, with great recommendations. We 110% recommend this beautiful cabin! It is private, clean, has a fully stocked kitchen, a big waterfall shower, cozy fireplace, super comfortable beds and a relaxing hot tub (perfect for star gazing or bird watching). I believe this place is perfect all year round for any of your adventures - we were lucky to have gorgeous sunny days filled with exploring the property and also a bonus snowy day, enjoying a book on the big comfy couch and soaking in the tub. Also, our dog absolutely loved it. Will be coming back for sure!

I had an incredible stay at this cabin! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the breathtaking views – they were absolutely stunning. The interior was beautifully decorated and had such a cozy, welcoming vibe. The space was immaculate, and it really felt like a home away from home. The beds were super comfy, everything exceeded expectations. On top of all that, the host was fantastic – super friendly and quick to respond to any questions. I can't recommend this place enough. Will definitely be returning!

We stayed at this place for two nights and had a good experience overall. The cottage was modern in design and was given to us clean and tidy. However, we encountered two issues. First, the house did not have laundry detergent and paper towels, which could be easily addressed. More importantly, the cottage does not have direct access to the lake. It is located on the upper side of the road, while the lake is on the lower side. To reach the lake, you need to cross the road and go through another property. This was not what we expected based on the photos, as the road was not shown in them.

Will and Julia have a beautiful property and the cabin was very well maintained. Will helped us bring our luggage down the snowy trail to the cabin and gave us a personal run through anything we would need to know. Julia's breakfast deliveries were always a special treat and much appreciated. My partner and I would definitely visit them again.

The cottage was really cute and perfect for a romantic week-end! It was cozy and with vinyls we could listen to some ambiance music. There was an LCBO near so we got really nice Ontario wines. Only down for us was the matress for my husband who has back problems. Me, I don't so it was ok. Ruth-Ann and Bobby were really responsive and nice. Très joli chalet pour une fin de semaine de couple. Un bon verre de vin, musique avec des vinyles et reste juste à profiter du patio.

This is the 5th year we have rented Stefano's cottage. I am hard-pressed to find anything negative to say. The cottage is spectacularly beautiful, inside and out. The architecture is decidedly modern, but clearly fits in the surroundings of trees and the lake. Inside it is very cozy with neutral colours and great for either relaxing with a book and a coffee (or a bottle of wine!), a games night or an outdoor BBQ after a swim, a paddle or a hike. It is superbly quiet and a perfect place to get away from it all, yet keep the creature comforts, grocer a short drive; walking trails nearby, lakes are everywhere and the autumn leaves are nothing short of spectacular. Stefano is very accommodating in terms of providing information or answering questions, if any. We love the place so much I am hesitating to give it such a good review for fear of lots of people discovering it - I want to keep it my own hidden gem. But Stefano deserves an excellent review. Thank you Stefano, as always.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour au Domaine Labrador. Nous sommes une famille avec deux jeunes enfants et un petit chien. Le site nous a permis de décrocher de la routine, de se relaxer et de profiter d'un grand site très sécuritaire avec les enfants pour s'amuser dans la neige. Hélène nous a répondu rapidement à nos questions, nous a donnés des détails pertinents pour le séjour et a été très accueillante à notre arrivé. Le chalet était magnifique et très propre. Je recommende fortement cet endroit.

Andrew was such an amazing host! When we arrived at his cozy comfortable cabin, we were welcomed with a fire in the wood stove! It was a little chilly so having a fire started for us demonstrated Andrew’s kindness & thoughtfulness. There was firewood ready too, when we needed it. His cabin was exactly how we pictured it from the photos and description. Being there away from everyone and noise was heaven. The cabin has everything you would require! I was impressed with the fridge, stove and kettle- We are used to a bare cabin, so Andrew’s cabin is luxury. The outhouse was very clean! The beautiful creek had copious cold and clear water running and I loved boiling the water… that was a great experience. Andrew was also so kind in having some water ready for us so that we didn’t have to haul! Thank you Andrew!! He provided us lots of information about the history of his land and the cabin. We all loved walking on his property especially our doggies! We felt rejuvenated! We will be back!

My partner and I really enjoyed our weekend at Etienne’s cottage. The island was so interesting to explore and we hiked many trails. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a cosy weekend! We didn’t realize when booking that the main house was only a few hundred feet from the cottage but we still had privacy. In the summer, if other people rented the second cottage and you were all outside I do think that privacy would go down. Otherwise, we loved all of it and would highly recommend!!

Patricia was a helpful host, very friendly and accommodating. Her place was peaceful, had a beautiful lake view. It was cute, cozy with rustic vibes. It was clean, organized, and had everything we needed. Also, the location is close to Screaming Heads and different hiking trails perfect for seeing the autumn foliage.

The place is wonderful and Edvard was available for all our queries. It was a pleasant and memorable experience for me and my family!

Cozy cabin, beautiful property to snowshoe, and the sauna was great. The main house is a little too close to the cabin, but the hosts were very respectful, and privacy was ok, it all worked out great.

After staying for 2 days we really enjoyed the stay and would love to go back one day! Great place to stay with a dog aswell. able to run off leash everywhere with little to no issues besides the puddles that she loves jumping into. would highly recommend for anyone to stay at one of their many cabins.

We had the perfect stay while at “Rowe’s Cabin” starting the new year in a quiet and peaceful setting. The hosts shared the story of the land and the cabin, including its history, adding to the experience and atmosphere for us that we really valued. They recommended going to Barron Canyon and we made sure to make a stop on our way out and it was the perfect ending to or trip, we were the only ones on the trail making it so much more whimsical. We snowshoed around the cabin and quietly sat in the window, playing uno, in the evening watching deer and wildlife coming up to the cabin for an hour or two. It had snowed the day we got there so it felt extra disconnected and relaxing. The hosts made sure we felt comfortable and safe in the cabin, we often are out in the woods during all times of the year and the hosts make this cabin experience in the woods fun and within reach to anyone new to the being in the woods or have more experience in the woods.

Absolutely beautiful spot for a perfect cottage weekend. Mike is a fantastic host and I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and scenic fall season getaway.

Awesome place and host. Definitely needs more than one night to enjoy properly. Enjoyed the rain hitting the glass of the living room window while watching Ottawa River . Bed was comfortable. Download some movies and bring board games if you are a night owl since there is no power/wifi/cell service after 11 pm. Definitely try the hot tub it was amazing . And big thanks to our amazing host Kelly . He even let us check out later since we were the last guests of the season.

Everything was fine. It an isolated remote community but that is fine with us. It was a little chilly the first few nights, but they turned on some heaters before we arrived, which was fine. You’re looking for peace and quiet. This is a good place.. I tried fishing by the docks, but they didn’t get any bites, but there is a bridge nearby and you can park and I caught a lot of fish in that location

We spent labor day weekend at the bunkie and absolutely loved it! It had everything we need with incredible views. The outdoor shower was lovely.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay, beautiful views all around with great trails to walk right off the cabin driveway. We even had some deer run past us on our hike. We enjoyed the cozy space in the cabin, exactly as expected with the accurate pictures Adam took. Adam gave us some recommendations of where to check out in the area, they were great suggestions. Highly recommend asking him for suggestions if you have anything specific you’d like to see. Overall it was an amazing stay, peaceful, beautiful views, cozy cabin, we would definitely go again in a few years.

This is a wonderful and cozy cabin experience for a group of 4. The place has a lovely history and is preserved that way with attention to aesthetics that take you back in time. Debbi is a warm host and although we didn’t get to meet in person she was quick to respond and provided all the necessary details during our stay. Good parking space, private location and beautiful nursery and nature around the property. Highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the Algonquin provincial park during the fall season.
