River's Edge - Private Suite

Our home is located in historic Louisa County in Central Virginia on a five-acre wooded lot facing the South Anna River. Richmond is 30 minutes away and Charlottesville is less than an hour. The entire lower level of our home is used for the Airbnb. (We live in the upper level.) The decor is "homey" with some personal items. Children, pets, and smoking are not allowed. The internet is fast and cell phones work with WiFi calling. Food deliveries are not available due to our remote location.

The cottage circa 1802 offer a peaceful private setting on a historic horse farm once part of Monticello with close proximity to wineries (10 minutes), town (12 minutes), Rivanna River borders the property, Carter mountain (8 minutes) and many other activities. A "Jimmy Buffet" salt water pool complex has a private Jacuzzi for each unit, double bars, two fire pits, frig ,full bath/shower/changing room) There is a private lake (catch and release fishing) and many places to walk on the property.

The Studio at Dark Run Retreat

Quiet studio on a secluded 5 acres only 3 miles from town. Kick back and relax by the pool in the warmer months, or in the hot tub in the cooler months. Small trails lead to the creek running along the property, maybe you'll even catch a glimpse of the deer or turkey that wander thru...we've even seen a lil bear once! There is an apartment above the studio, so we ask that you be mindful of those guests if occupied. *The studio got a make-over! As of 10/6/20, we will no longer be hosting pets*

Sparkling clean home, Following enhanced Cleaning and disinfecting guidelines. Lots of OUTSIDE SPACES New LUXURIOUS family room, deck and hot tub August 2019. Our cottage is easy to get to but feels like a world away. Recently renovated main level has three cozy bedrooms and 1.5 baths, sleeps 5, and the garden level suite offers one large king bedroom with full bath and separate sink area. Close to Pantops and Hollymead in Stony Point. All renovation is now completed!
