Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Tōkai Region

Lovely stay in a beautiful area. The staff were all very helpful, including pick up and drop off to bus terminal. We had everything we needed and buses to the slopes were walking distance, although car hire would be even more convenient, especially if travelling with kids. Overall would recommend to any families or small groups travelling to Hakuba.

Very comfortable. Good ventilation with windows with screens. Excellent bath. Good cooking facilities. Short walk from train station and to beach. A delightful apartment with a lofted sleeping room. Clean and cozy. Would return without hesitation.

We had a comfortable stay here. It was a little cold but the bathtub was nice. It has a great yard and a complete kitchen. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and the host was polite.

I had a relaxing time with my dog. Izu Kogen has many dog-friendly inns and shops, It would be quite expensive for more than two people, so I'm glad I was able to stay at this price. The interior was stylish and well cleaned, and it was a comfortable environment. There was a dog food bowl and a sheet provided. There was a full set of cooking utensils, so I was able to cook what I wanted on the same day without any problems. The coffee was also delicious.

Yuko's place was one of the best places we have stayed in Japan. First time having mattresses that won't make your back sore! The light blocking blinds were also a plus. The place was comfortable, clean and very cozy. We would love to stay again in the future.

Michael has a wonderful house, it is very beautiful and you can find a lot of cute details in the house. Michael is also a great host, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay, within a few minutes walk you are on the beach. We could hear the ocean from the house. Everything in the house was clean and the kitchen was very well equipped to make us feel at home. We appreciated the tea and coffee too! We can't wait to come back in summer.

He was very kind and taught me a lot.The facility itself was also very good and clean.I was able to enter the sauna, and it was very good to be able to use it freely at any time I wanted.There were a lot of cooking utensils, etc., so that was also good.Depending on the time of year, I think it was a good memory to be able to pick a bake in the morning.

This was a wonderful place! It was pristine and had every amenity you could need. It was also centrally located by car-- very close to Karuizawa Prince Hotel Ski Resort. The host was very responsive and kind to our questions, even though there was a sign that answered one of our questions😅. Our dogs loved the open space, too. Our only regret is not staying there longer!

It was clean, fully equipped with amenities, and kitchenware, and I had a comfortable stay with a spacious and convenient floor plan.

This was a lovely stay for 4 of us! The accomodation was exactly what was listed, the host was very responsive, and we absolutely loved the koi pond garden in the back! Although it was difficult exploring the area without a car and relying on walking and public transport, it was in a quiet and relaxing neighborhood which we enjoyed and would recommend if you're wanting to escape the hustle of the big cities while visiting Japan.

This place is beautiful, peaceful and close to nature. Miyuki is easy to communicate with and responsive. The place is super nice, very clean and neat. The breakfast is simple yet very very homey and delicious. We wish we stayed much longer here. Locationwise is near the Gojo city so plenty of big supermarket, restaurants, etc. Recommended to drive so can explore this area better. We live the peaceful morning walk around the house. Thank you sooo much, Miyuki! Hope will be back here again in the future.

In my 10 years as an Airbnb user, Yuri is by far the best host we’ve had. She is communicative, respectful of privacy, and generous. The house is exceptionally clean (even by Japanese standards), well-stocked, and spacious enough for our party of four. The photos simply don’t do this property justice. It is professionally managed by a team that clearly cares about their clients. We will definitely return! (As a side note: We’ve recently started staying in hotels more often due to the inconsistent quality and cleanliness of many of the Airbnbs. However, properties like this one and hosts like Yuri truly embody the spirit of Airbnb.)

We loved our stay at Someno House; it was very quiet, cozy, and located in a great neighbourhood. The staff was very friendly, and gave great recommendations for restaurants in the area. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Kyoto.
