Mit direktem Blick auf den Fluss und in den Wald ist die Unterkunft herrlich eingebunden in die Natur und von den Räumlichkeiten ist diese auch mit der Papierfabrik verwurzelt. Man kann direkt am Haus mit Ausflügen beginnen.Gleich neben m ruhig gelegenen Haus gibt es einen kleinen Laden und ein paar Restaurants. Alles war Innen neu und sauber. Hat uns sehr gefallen.Empfehlenswert auch für Familien.

We absolutely loved our stay and would love to come back as it seems I found my power place. All fits together to make this masterpiece of a property - beautiful tranquil location in the midst of a national park, architectural gem - an outstanding modern design reimagined within the heritage codes of Latvian farmsteads. The most serene place that encourages family to come together where my 10 year old daughter didn’t even have the time for her devices being fully absorbed in fishing (there’s own pond), playing outside or watching fallen stars at the fireplace at night. The house is fully equipped and “smart” so on a rainy day you could fully immerse yourself in cooking, listening to the music, or watching series - WiFi works great. Davis is a great responsive host, and I hope will welcome us again soon. As we are sure to go back.

Nachdem wir die letzten vier Tage in Städten verbracht hatten, hatten wir Sehnsucht nach ländlicher Ruhe und Weite. Genau das haben wir bei Marika und Gerry gefunden. Ein lettisches Landhaus, mitten auf der grünen Wiese mit sehr netten und hilfreichen Gastgebern. Auch den Austausch mit den beiden haben wir genossen, was ja selbst bei Airbnb leider immer seltener der Fall ist. Für uns ist das nach wie vor ein Grund für Airbnb in Abgrenzung zu Hotels oder Bed and Breakfast. Alles in allem haben wir zwei sehr erholsame Tage gehabt, mit Unternehmungen in der Umgebung, die wir mit dem Fahrrad erkundet haben. Highlights waren das Baden im Matinusee und der spontane Besuch in der KUSSH-Brauerei mit feinem Bier, Dartwerfen und Tischfussball.

We absolutely loved the place and the surroundings! This was one of the most peaceful and calm stays we have ever had. It was a real disconnection from the “outer world” and we are convinced that there will be a day when we will come back! The glass house was clean and had all the amenities. The layout is also really nice as it allows for efficient use of space. Amazing place!

This was the cutest little place well worth the money. Had everything it stayed in the amenities and more. I would give it more than 5 starts if that was possible. The host was very responsive to all the questions and even had games and other amenities not listed that were available to use. We will be staying again when my parents come to visit!

We spent little over a month at Rihard place for a work assignment in Ogre. My colleagues were very happy with the conditions offered , therefore we made a new reservation with the same host. Erittäin mukava asunto. Siisti ja hyvällä paikalla. Saapuessamme kohteeseen auton lataaminen ei ollut mahdollista, joka aiheutti pientä ohjelmaa, sillä myös kadulla ollut latauspiste ei ollut toiminnassa. Majapaikan emäntä kuitenkin järjesti ystävällisesti seuraavaksi aamuksi autolatausmahdollisuuden asunnolle.

Majutuskoht ilus ja puhas. Ümbruskond ilus ja hooldatud. Majutuskoha kirjelduses elektrisaunaga maja, aga tegelikult oli puuküttega saun eraldi lisatasu eest, seda ei olnud kirjelduses kirjas. Lisaks oli vajalik sauna kasutamise soovist varasem teavitamine. Majutaja oleks võinud seda aegsasti teavitada ja pakkuda. Majutuskohta jõudmiseks ei vasta kaardil olev aadress tegelikkusele, vajalik kasutada eraldi otsingusõna. Üldiselt oleme rahul ja soovitame.

The staff was very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Place was cosy and private right by the river. The house was really warm. There was only one big minus, it was the jacuzzi/hot tub - had to wait long for it to get warm, but thats no big deal, but once it got to 40-45 °C, the host turned it off and forbid us to put the heating on by ourselves. So the water stayed good and warm for about 30 minutes after which it started to get cold. So 50€ for a 30 min hot tub is rather sad, plus there is now way to enjoy the hot tub next morning before leaving.

Lieliska vieta, kur atpūsties no pilsētas burzmas. Viss tīrs un pārdomāts. Ļoti atsaucīgi un pretimnākoši saimnieki. Izmantojām arī pirtiņu, kas bija lieliski sagatavota. Patika, ka ir padomāts arī par bērniem, kur var drošā vidē iziet, pastaigāties, rotaļāties bērnu laukumiņā, un pat apskatīt aitiņas. Noteikti vēl atgriezīsimies!

10/10! Highly recommend for a peacefull getaway! The house is brand new and had everything that we needed for the stay. The location is quite remote, but we did not have any issues finding it.
