Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Makkum

We had an amazing easter vacation at this incredible place! Herman was friendly, always courteous and super helpful with our questions and requests. He even made sure the beer pump that wasn’t working was replaced (at 10pm!) thank you a lot again, you saved our evening. ☺️ All in all a beautiful trip we’d love to repeat and our group of four approves. This is our third time staying at Tine’s cottage over the past nearly ten years. It feels like a home away from home. We love Tine and she treats everyone like family. In case you don’t know already, this cottage sits on a quiet street, with its own private parking, entrance, and privacy. It is a very short walk into the backside of Zaanse Schans by the Windmills. You can borrow one of Tine’s many bicycles or simply walk the flat peaceful lanes into the open air park and experience clogs making, cheesemaking, stroopwafels, historic homes and neighborhoods well preserved, shops and gifts, a museum, and the most beautiful intact and functioning windmills you’ll find anywhere in the area - plus much more. It’s only 7-8 minutes to the Zaanse Schans train station and a straight shot in 15 minutes on the train to Centraal Station. Also very easy to get to Keukenhof via train, car, bus, etc. Grocery stores and restaurants close by. Our favorite spot out of all we’ve stayed at in Holland!

Henk is a very friendly host and "De kleine walvis" is a beautiful and well-equipped accommodation. This was our second time here and, as always, we felt very comfortable. Thanks to the good weather, we were also able to use the outdoor area. The location is perfect for a quick trip to the beach with the kids. We'd love to come back!

Excellent stay, Volendam has a lot to offer. Erik is a very attentive host, the place was warm and comfortable.

We visited Andréia for the second time and it was just as wonderful as the first time. The location on the water is fantastic. The apartment is optimally equipped and sparkling clean. You can plan your excursions wonderfully or just sit and relax by the water and fish. Andréia is such a warm and loving host. I could go on raving here, but I don't think there is anything more to say than that we will come back a third time.

Me and my partner stayed here for 5 nights and it was incredible! It matched all descriptions and anything that we had wondered about, Jolanda would be very accommodating and helpful. The Albert Heijn is less than 5 minutes away for groceries and cooking in the kitchen was comfortable. The windows are remote controlled but quite easy to figure out. Zwolle is one of my favourite cities and if I were to come again, I would definitely try to come back to Jolanda's.

for people who want to break from the everyday it is perfect!! We two families of 7,we decided to spend Christmas at Greta. A wise decision!! Everything is superlative,and all three bedrooms each with private bathroom is the highlight!! Thank you Greta and will definitely see you again.

It was very nice and we felt comfortable. Everything was easily accessible by car:) The apartment was very nicely decorated and cozy:) We will be happy to come back!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Petra's place. We were personally welcomed by Petra herself and got a tour of the studio. It is close to the center and easy to reach!

We had a great stay at Cor’s place with our three children and Cor was very helpful and gave us a lot of good tips. The place was very nice and well located in a beautiful village.

Maaike and Jeroen were lovely hosts, making us feel welcome in their historic monument home. With 40 chickens, two rabbits, one cat, and one dog, we felt like we were one with nature. We had a safe place in the barn for our bicycles, and there was everything we could ask for to cook nice meals. Fresh flowers on the table and treats in the cupboards, we felt really spoiled. The bed was the biggest we‘ve seen in a long time, and it was extremely comfortable. There were giant tulip fields to the left and right of the house. The sunsets were glorious and make for taking endless photographs.

Great b&b. Unfortunately without breakfast but that was already told to us right away, so no problem. Super quiet location and very close to the West Frieze Golf Course. Super clean and a good bed. The terrace with a wonderful view was also recommended. If you are looking for a quiet place where you can easily stay overnight: FOUND

What a beautiful house in the middle of nature. We enjoyed the house, the garden and of course the area. The hosts are very nice who have used their cheerful art fame for style.

It was beyond expectations, feltl like home. Kitchen utilities were plenty. Surroundings were beautiful, peaceful and private.

Lyda's place is located in a wonderful spot in a beautiful town. The apartment is perfect for transport and to explore the surrounds. We had an amazing time!

APARTMENT: Fantastically beautiful view directly on Lake Jissel. Waking up in bed has never been more beautiful. Very quiet location, super nice hosts. Despite the advertised "dog apartment" very clean. AREA: A supermarket can be reached in 5-7 minutes on foot daily. A café is almost right outside the front door.

We stayed at Lily‘s apartment over the weekend and we felt right at home. My first thought was: so beautiful! Damn, we’re only staying for 2 nights 😂 The ocean was so close 🌊 we could even see it from the couch, which was very cozy, and the apartment looked like in the photos. I’m definitely coming back! ♥️

Everything is great. Marcel and his wife help with everything, are very friendly and relaxed. We rented Marcel's electric boat and took a tour of the canals and lake. It was wonderful. Marcel briefed us well. Thanks!

The apartment matches the photos. We slept three nights, five people, comfortably, in complete tranquility. We didn't use the kitchen but everything looked very tidy, with all the appliances available. A fifteen-minute walk to the train station to downtown. A pleasant walk. A supermarket seven/eight minutes walk, very comfortable and very well-stocked.
