What a lovely location! We loved staying at the house, found the garden great and every morning morning we would watch the squirrel busy i the trees, from the comfort of the living rooms in very comfortable chairs. Lots of books for the kids and many games (we didn't end up playing them but there was a big variety). The hosts were super helpful and reacted very quickly to any questions. Walking distance to the sabeltandtijger path as well as lots of beautiful forest. A great stay!

We enjoyed it very much overall. The surroundings are very quiet and you can relax perfectly. It takes some time for the hot tub to be really hot, but it's worth the wait. 😊 Nothing was missing in the apartment. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the bed as it was pretty saggy. Of course, it is still convenient for a weekend. Really recommend!!!

Well-maintained home. Nice garden and quiet. Walking 5 minutes into the woods where you can enjoy hiking. Bathroom was excellently equipped, neat and clean. Kitchen was also very nice, even sharp knives! We had a great stay and went home fully rested.

I had an enjoyable stay at Ellen's place while attending the WordSBK event at TT Circuit Assen as it is only a 15 minutes drive away from Gieten. I liked "Het Jagershuys" for its private character, the beautiful surroundings and the company of the animals on site. However, the sleeping area is a little cramped for tall people as there is no way to get into or out of bed upright, which is an obstacle for older people.

A spacious living area is equipped with a dining table beside modern seating. Large glass doors open to a balcony, revealing views of the surrounding greenery. The room features a light-colored floor and soft natural lighting.

We had an absolutely amazing time here. The property itself is wonderful, fully equipped with everything you might need. The view from the balcony is beautiful. Liselotte and Frits were super friendly and gave us some great recommendations for things to do in the area. It’s within walking distance of a beautiful forest and we had a great meal at a restaurant close by. The best thing about the weekend, was spending time with the three gorgeous dogs and extremely cute cat! We would definitely come again and can’t recommend this place more!

The stay was very pleasant! I was there with two adults, two kids and a dog. Paul is very nice, helpful and I was able to talk to him well in German. With on the fenced grounds was a small, private wooded area. That was perfect for the dog and my 3 year old son. Since I had to have the bedroom where I slept with my son a little warmer, both air conditioners ran at a low level at the same time and the electronics had short outages, which otherwise did not cause any problems. All in all, it was a wonderful time for everyone involved.

Now stayed for the second time in Eddy's yoert for the second time. That we came back says enough of course! Had a very nice time again. The weather was wonderful, so being able to sit outside by the fire basket. The surroundings and the warm look of the yoert completely relaxed us. Eddy is also a friendly and laid-back person going.

A unique place in Drenthe nature

Last weekend we stayed with Sjoukje and her husband in Gasselte. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Sjoukje, who immediately showed us her beautiful, large garden. In the yard you will also find a sauna, a hot tub and several cozy seating areas where you can relax. The house itself was sparkling clean, tastefully furnished and equipped with every comfort. Anything you need is present, which made the stay extra comfortable. The area is perfect for beautiful bike rides, nice trips and good food. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would like to thank Sjoukje and her husband for their warmth and hospitality. They are really made for this work! Definitely recommended – we'd love to come back.

We had a really nice time in Nieuw-Annerveen. The house is beautiful and really quiet. Especially the view into the nature is breathtaking. Titia was a really nice host and she was flexible and straightforward with the check-in. We will definitely come back!

We had a wonderful stay at this fantastic house! It is really perfectly appointed – everything you need is there, and it is super clean and spacious. The house is a real retreat to relax with lots of great extras such as the boat, whirlpool and perfectly equipped kitchen. The location is just ideal and our children felt very comfortable there – they even fell asleep quickly, which speaks for the comfort. Overall an absolute dream that we would book again at any time. Highly recommended!

We were on site with two families, we were very satisfied with our stay and enjoyed it. The cabin was in a well cared condition. The campsite was clean, tidy and very quiet, especially perfect for small children around them without having to be afraid of traffic. Only from the outdoor swimming pool you can hear noises until the evening closure. Our children were particularly impressed by the children's bunk bed.

Gezina was a very nice and welcoming host. We really enjoy our stay and definitely recommend this lovely place. Everything we needed were there to appreciate the wonderful environment Our children had lot of fun with all the different activities available in the camp and even our dog met a new friend :) Thanks a lot Gezina and see you.

"Casa Ibiza" is holiday in Drenthe

We are coming from the south and wanted to stay a night close to Emmen because we were going to the zoo. We were warmly welcomed by Rene and felt very welcome. The chalet is located on a small-scale and quiet campsite and is super cozy. Our daughter of almost 2 also liked it very much and camping cot and high chair were also present, plus! We also enjoyed sitting in the sun in the garden by the chalet. We had a nice weekend and definitely recommend this accommodation!

The cabin was spacious and welcoming, surrounding where peaceful and Ronald, his son Naiki and their neighbors were super responsive and willing to help with anything we needed. It was our first time traveling abroad with our dog and we were stressed about it, couldn't ask for a better welcoming. The only disadvantage was that there isn't any close grocery store and we were struggling to buy food 😅 A car is very much needed in this area.

Forest house in the middle of nature in Drenthe

we were brought the last bit over the sandy path because our car was not suitable for that (it had rained a lot), because of this it immediately felt like we were really gone. The area is beautiful, lots of peace and space and opportunities to go into nature. The cottage was a cozy place to return after an autumn walk with a fireplace and candles on. The kitchen is very complete also with herbs/oil/tea/utensils and nice crockery. We loved our stay!
